🔒 Data Protection & Privacy

Privacy Policy

Transparency regarding technical processing, hosting logs, and strict zero-profiling principles.

1. Regulatory Framework & Principles

This privacy policy outlines how personal data is handled when visiting the NaviX GeoPointer showcase website, in compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP / revised DSG) and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, Reg. EU 2016/679) where applicable.

2. Data Controller & Inquiries

Pending the formal incorporation of NaviX GmbH in the Swiss Commercial Register, data processing activities associated with this presentation website are coordinated by the NaviX GeoPointer Project Team. For any privacy requests or data subject rights, please contact:

3. Data Processing Activities & Purposes

a. Technical Access Logs and Server Delivery

When navigating the website, technical servers (Google Cloud Run and Nginx) automatically log standard connection metadata: IP address, date and time of request, requested URI resource, HTTP response status code, and browser User-Agent string. These records are processed temporarily in technical security logs to prevent DDoS attacks, maintain infrastructure resilience, and deliver content, after which they are purged or anonymized.

b. Voluntary Communications and Inquiries

When submitting inquiries through our contact form (which prepares an email via mailto link) or directly to our email address, we receive your email address, name, fleet details, and message body. This information is processed exclusively to respond to your specific inquiry or business proposal and is never transferred to commercial mailing lists or third parties.

c. Browser Local Storage (localStorage) and Cookies

This website does not deploy profiling cookies, advertising cookies, or third-party web trackers. The only information that may be saved locally within your browser (via localStorage) is your selected interface language (key: "navix_lang") and cookie dialog acknowledgement, strictly to ensure consistent language display during subsequent visits.

d. External Assets and Outbound Links

This site does not load remote web fonts (Google Fonts) from external CDNs, relying instead on system font stacks. Links to development platforms or staging cockpits (uat.navix-app.com, dev.navix-app.com) lead to distinct testing environments subject to their respective configurations.

4. Legal Bases for Processing

Processing of technical connection logs relies on our legitimate interest in maintaining the operational security and availability of the showcase platform (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR / Art. 31(1) Swiss FADP). Processing of direct contact inquiries relies on performing pre-contractual steps or responding to explicit user requests (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR / Art. 31(2)(a) Swiss FADP).

5. Data Subject Rights

Under the applicable data protection regulations (Swiss FADP and EU GDPR), you possess the following rights regarding your data:

Right of access

Confirm whether data concerning you is processed and obtain a copy.

Right to rectification

Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete records.

Right to erasure

Request deletion of data where statutory retention obligations do not apply.

Right to restriction & objection

Object to processing or request restriction on legitimate grounds.

Right to lodge a complaint

Lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory body (Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner - FDPIC in Bern, Switzerland, or relevant national authority).

6. Technical Security

All traffic to and from this website is encrypted using transport layer security (TLS / HTTPS). The Cloud Run infrastructure is hosted within the Swiss data center region of Zürich (europe-west6, Switzerland), adhering to high security and access segregation standards.
